Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 2026. This policy describes the information DataCedar processes to operate the website, account, and API.
Information we process
- Account information, such as email address and verification state.
- API usage metadata, including request time, endpoint, status, response size, plan, and a one-way key identifier for metering, security, and support.
- Billing references returned by the configured payment processor. DataCedar does not store full payment-card numbers.
- Support messages and the operational context needed to resolve them.
Use and disclosure
We use this information to authenticate accounts, deliver and secure the API, enforce plans, process subscriptions, diagnose failures, and respond to support. We do not sell personal information. We disclose it only to processors needed to operate the service or when legally required.
Security and retention
API keys are stored as one-way hashes and shown only when created. Usage metadata is retained for up to 180 days unless a longer period is required for billing, abuse investigation, or law. Account and billing references remain while the account or applicable obligations are active. Database backups follow a limited operational-retention schedule.
Your choices
You may update account preferences or request access, correction, or deletion through the authenticated support channel. Some records may be retained where required for security, billing, or legal obligations. Contact DataCedar.
