Tokenized stock data

Equity-linked crypto instruments classified without false share claims

A stock-like ticker on a crypto venue may represent a token, perpetual derivative, or another synthetic product. DataCedar keeps the original product class, venue behavior, underlying mapping, and holder-rights boundary visible instead of merging it with the primary listed share.

Definition

Tokenized stock data describes crypto-venue instruments that reference equities, ETFs, or other traditional assets. The data model must distinguish economic reference from legal ownership and preserve product documents, venue terms, trading hours, settlement, and mapping provenance.

How DataCedar handles it

What you can query, which fields are returned, and how availability is reported.

01

Classify

Identify token, perpetual, or other product form before assigning an underlying equity mapping.

02

Map

Retain venue symbol and attach a reviewed underlying identifier with source provenance.

03

Align

Represent crypto-venue hours, reference methodology, settlement, FX, and underlying-market sessions separately.

04

Disclose

Expose stated holder rights and limitations without implying ownership, dividends, voting, or redemption.

Data surface

What the schema is built to carry.

Native venue product class
Underlying-reference mapping
Venue and trading-status history
Quote and settlement assets
Trading-hours relationship
Price and index methodology
Product-document provenance
Rights and availability boundary

Product boundary: The generated July 26, 2026 ledger includes publicly served one-minute bStock bars and daily Web3/Ondo candles. These products are never described as legally equivalent to listed shares, and Web3 one-minute history is not offered.

API example

Equity-linked instrument catalog

GET /v3/tokenized-assets
Request
curl "https://api.datacedar.com/v3/tokenized-assets?status=trading"
Representative response
{
   "data": [{ "symbol": "AAOIBUSDT", "asset_class": "tokenized_equity_spot" }],
  "coverage": {
    "cataloged": true,
    "price_history": "source_dependent",
    "public_serving": true
  }
}

Examples document the public contract and may use illustrative values or redacted identifiers. Availability fields and rights filters are authoritative for the active environment.

Research workflow

Four steps from API key to a validated dataset.

01

Read

Review venue and product documentation.

02

Classify

Assign legal and economic product type.

03

Map

Version the underlying-reference relationship.

04

Validate

Compare sessions, prices, status, and public rights.

Field guide

How to model tokenized and equity-linked products

01

Ticker resemblance is not ownership

A product labeled with an equity ticker may not confer ownership, voting, dividends, custody, or redemption. Those rights come from product documentation, not a symbol string.

The API keeps product type prominent in every response.

02

Crypto and equity market clocks differ

A crypto venue may trade while the underlying exchange is closed. Prices can then reflect venue liquidity, funding, indicative references, FX, and expectations.

Cross-market analysis must align sessions and state which price can actually trade.

03

Catalog first, prices second

The dynamic Binance catalog provides the discovery surface, including inferred bStocks-style pairs and TradFi perpetuals.

DataCedar serves each instrument only within its reported history boundary: bStocks use Spot one-minute bars, Web3/Ondo uses daily candles, and TradFi perpetuals use the derivatives bar route.

Comparison

Equity-linked crypto product versus a listed share

The names may resemble one another, while legal rights, trading venue, hours, liquidity, settlement, and price formation can differ materially.

Venue scopeOften hidden behind a symbol listVenue and market type remain explicit
Missing intervalsEmpty rows or silent forward fillsExpected, actual, and gap state recorded

Before you rely on it

A practical validation checklist.

  1. 01The venue and market type are named for every instrument
  2. 02First and last available timestamps are reported by stream
  3. 03UTC interval, event-time, and receive-time rules are documented
  4. 04Delisted, expired, pending, and suspended instruments remain visible
  5. 05Archive, REST, and live boundaries have been reconciled
  6. 06Duplicate, sequence, and expected-interval checks pass
  7. 07The intended display or redistribution use is explicitly permitted

Questions, answered.

Not necessarily. The product may be a token or derivative referencing an equity without providing ordinary share ownership or rights.

Build on reproducible crypto evidence, not a runtime venue dependency.

DataCedar stores raw source objects and normalized history independently, with coverage and rights enforced before serving.
